decor is a little dated, but the rooms are very clean and spacious . the bed was very comfortable . staff is very friendly ... only drawback was the pigeons coming into the rooms when the windows were open

We were very impressed by everything in this hotel. We stayed for 5 nighta and the rooms were very spacious, and cleaned every day with fresh towels ets. no complainta whatso ever and we would definately stay again. We were two couples and the htel had been reccommended to us by our friend and we were not dissapointed. The location was perfect and the cost was very reasonable, thans to all the staff for making our stay so fabulous.

Converted (somewhat) apartment building is in dire need of an update. Towels were dirty. No paper products were available, not even toilet paper! I'm sure this was an oversight, but still... On the bright side, it was spacious and the location was very good.

Our stay at the Tropicana was wonderful. The room was large and spacious with a kitchenette and a great view. We were close to everything and were in walking distance of many attractions, including Stanley Park. We were even able to watch the firework festival displays completely from the comfort of our hotel room. We would absolutely stay at the Tropicana again.

Top Local Tips for Vancouver
Bike Stanley Park You can rent a bike down Robson street and a few streets over and you can bike the 1,000 acre Stanley Park (great ride). It is very flat bike trail. Lots of beaches and you go under the Lion's Gate bridge.
Breakfast Roscoe's - great breakfast menu, very reasonable, friendly staff. Downtown on Robson St.
Don't be so picky Downtown Vancouver is so full of stuff, who cares if it's raining! The transit runs practically all night and the Skytrain connects you to everywhere you'll need to go. I've gone 4 times and I still haven't found time to visit Stanley Park!
