We stayed for 4 days. We had a wonderful visit. Room was quiet. No outside hall noises. Very clean. Bed was a tad bit hard. Hotel was central to all the attractions and the price was good, as it was before the seasonal rate change. Staff were pleasant. We would stay again.

t ask for a wake-up call...

My father and I stayed at the Rosedale on Robson last week, March 29. The room was clean but the beds we had were hard and uncomfortable, the water pressure in the shower was minimal, and we asked for a wake-up call and set the alarm clock just in case they didnt call, they didn't and the alarm clock didn't go off, so we were put behind schedule as we had to be back in the US by a certain time that day. Overall, the rooms were clean, but if we ever make it back to Vancouver we probably won't be staying at the Rosedale on Robson.

This facility is a solid 4-star. Great location. Plenty of quality amenities for an overnight or extended stay. Very clean and well maintained with a designer's touch. Super views from the upper floors. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, BC Place, GM Place, theatre, etc.

Stayed here mid October of last year. The room was lovely, very clean, comfy beds and the fully equiped kitchen was appreciated! The view was great from our bedroom and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Only problem we had was there was a mix up with our room, we were given a double instead of a twin, but the staff were very helpful and although there were no twins left to be moved to that night they did switch our room the next day as well as giving us a free upgrade!
The cafe/bar attached to the hotel was very nice, lovely food but a little overpriced compared to other places within the vacinity.
All in all we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again!

Great if you have low self esteem

The view from the room was stunning. The room was small - certainly too small for the four people they say would fit. The staff treated us like lepers and refused to help bring up bags, answer questions, or call up to the room to see if the other half of our party had already checked in or even provide basic daily housekeeping. The galley kitchen was fine, as long as you weren't expecting to cook anything of regular size in the EasyBake oven they provide. Perhaps it is because we were coded under the timeshare (set up by the inlaws), but if they are providing the space, they shouldn't treat anyone as second class citizens. Would I come back as a regular hotel guest? No way.

Comfortable suite, good position

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July 2004. Room was perfect for our needs and had secure parking. A fifteen minute walk brings you to Granville Street for entertainment and restaurants. We found the staff friendly and the room was clean. The view from the huge windows, which you can look out of whilst in bed at night, was lovely but something in the bedroom ceiling kept creaking every ½ hour which disturbed our sleep. Rosie’s sports bar and restaurant off the foyer was very friendly and served us an excellent meal at a reasonable price.

Stayed here late september 04. I was told this was an all suite hotel, but found my room to be smaller than most hotel rooms I have stayed in, and only evidence of a suite was a fridge and cooker in the room. Not sure if this really counts as a suite, especially as there was nowhere in the room to eat even if I had cooked. Found this very misleading- but perhaps I got a bad room.

Other problem was being charged to leave my baggage at the hotel for a few hours on the day of checkout- have never been charged in other hotels. This really left a bad taste in my mouth. That said room was clean, and hotel location ok. However wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed here mid october...i think it was thanksgiving weekend... and although the hotel was solidly busy the service was excellent... the rooms are suites which is great after you have travelled for a while to have more than a room to go to.... great movie and internet selection... bed was comfy.. and the cooking facilities great... has a laundry and pool... fast food or cafes close... i would recommend this hotel

Rosedale on Robson

Stayed at the Rosedale for three nights. Room was perfect for our needs. Three to four block walk to Granville Street nightlife and restaurants. Underground secure parking. Staff was friendly and room was very clean. Having a nearly complete mini-kitchen with all necessary untensils and good sized fridge kept our dining costs to a minimum. Found a whole foods store just a few blocks away on Seymour. Found the room to be very quiet for sleeping with a nice view of the city from the two floor to ceiling bay windows. Having a seperate living area from the bedroom with two TVs was nice as well. Bathroom amenities were restocked each day as well as fresh kitchen linens.

We relished the extra space that came from being in a suite with a bedroom separate from a lounge/living area. Having self-catering kitchen facilities also gave us added flexibility during our stay. a large complex located close to all sorts of attractions,restaurants and shopping.

Top Local Tips for Vancouver

Airporter If you can avoid it don't use the Airporter. As a family it was costly and took to long. We had paid for a round trip but could not use the return as the bus did not start running early enough for us. So we had to take a taxi. The taxi took 25 minutes where the Airporter would have taken 45 minutes and the taxi cost us less. When we got back to the Airport the company would not refund us for our return tickets stating that it was not their fault that our flight left before they started. Even though the girl at the counter remembered selling us the tickets and telling us that the bus would be running early enough for us.

Suspension Bridge Forget Capliano and head over to Lynn Canyon suspension bridge. Easy to access by public transportation, good hiking trails, nice little cafe and FREE. Only five other people there when I was there -not the crowds and mediocre food of Capilano, and certainly you can spend the money you save on something more interesting like lunch or dinner at the Pacific Culinary Institute just off of Granville Island. Lunch is often 2 for 1 (under $25)- 3 courses. Dinner a bit higher and not usually 2 for 1 but well worth it. Need reservations!

public transport Buy the day pass for the public transport and get the details of how to reach the tourist sites from the toursit office. The trains, buses and ferries work together and the pass includes all of them.
