Exceptional staff!

This is among the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff was simply exceptional, providing the best, most genuine, service one could expect from a hotel, including the check-in personnel, Alex the bellman, Mandy and Laura, the bartenders, the waiters, and so forth. We really liked our suite, too. The decor is understated and classy, and the room is comfortable. We ate two dinners in Spencer's Lounge and one breakfast in the restaurant, Manhattan. The presentation and taste of the food were delightful. The location of the hotel is great, within blocks of all the action in downtown Vancouver - Gastown and Chinatown in one direction, Canada Place in another. We highly recommend this hotel.

Just stayed here on a priceline stay. Checked in very early from Whistler ~10.30am. Great staff and great rooms, despite being near the lift etc. Would stay here again even without the great PL rate.

Petite suite

I used my Delta privilege program upgrade to try the "Signature Club" here. The two room suite was nice, but petite. A suite with a double bed might be common in Tokyo or Paris, but I've never seen one in North America.

The hotel is very clean and quiet, and room service was prompt and tasty.

Try Steamworks brewpub a few blocks away for great beer and food.

I just returned from a stay at the Delta Suites Vancouver. The staff was outstanding. They went out of the way to help my sister and me navigate the terrain. We were in Vancouver for a conference. Although the hotel was not a conference host, the price was right and the short walk to and from the convention center provided us with our daily exercise. The room was a good size and immaculate. I would not hesitate to stay there again. In fact, I'm just looking for a reason to return.

This hotel was great. Service and desk staff very nice and accomodating. We visited Vancouver on our honeymoon and the sweet girl at check in upgraded us to the concierge floor gratis, to a two room suite with access to the concierge lounge. Very nice room and quiet with a great view of Vancouver harbor. I would for sure recomend this hotel.

Just finished a very pleasant 3 day stay at this hotel, it was one of the host hotels for Vancouver's Gay Pride weekend. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms large and comfortable, nicely furnished and very clean. Just a few blocks from the waterfront and a good location for getting around the city. Highly recomended!

Clean, quiet, great location

I've stayed here four times on business and I've loved it every time. So much in fact that my wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon this month.

Location is close to the transit station, seabus, gastown, and steps away from transit to all of Vancouver's attractions. A few "iffy" characters in the neighborhood, but that's just part of the area.

The rooms vary by design and size, but I've had great rooms each time -- clean and well kept.

Only flaw is the staff isn't very helpful as concierges -- don't count on them for much more than information on bus routes. Spenser's bar was terrific for late dinners and the bartender was actually the most useful concierge in the place -- great service in the bar. Sunday breakfast at Manhattan restaurant was poor -- kitchen understaffed, waffle undercooked, and service was poor, though they gladly replaced without charge items mentioned.

Pool and health facilities adequate.

This is a great spot in Vancouver -- definitely worth it.

The Delta Vancouver Suites was a very pleasant suprise. The rooms were chic and spotless, with high quality appointments, and the staff was pleasant and professional. A great value and an excellent hotel for business or pleasure, though the location is a bit more "business". I would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay here! Wonderful rooms, great facilities. good location and super friendly staff. we can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We'd been warned about the location initially, a couple of blocks east of the hotel is pretty undesirable but it's just outside Gastown and you can walk a good block and half into Gastown and still feel like you're in a safe tourist area (I wouldn't recommend going any further east but to be honest there's nothing further on to draw your attention anyway). The suites are really spacious with easy to use internet access, a bedroom area and a livingroom/office area. We will definately come back to the Delta Suites, nothing was too much trouble for the staff to sort out and we really felt looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out and the concierge waved us off in the taxi. This surely must be the best hotel in Vancouver.

We were in Vancouver on business and pleasure and were fortunate to stay at the Delta Suites, on the Executive Suite floor. The room was really spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was outstanding.

We stayed at four different hotels in Canada and the US during our trip and this was the most outstanding. We will not hesitate to stay here again. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to visit, including all of my work obligations in the downtown core.

Top Local Tips for Vancouver

Rent a bike If it is a sunny day grab a rental bike from one of the many shops on Denman Street. We had a wonderful day cycling through Stanley Park and pottering around Granville Market. Vancouver is extremely bike friendly and a wonderful way to see the city!

Ice Hockey If you want to watch an Ice Hockey game whilst you are over there I would definately recomment it, however you will have to book tickets a few months before the actual game - find out when the tickets are released and get them straight away through ticketmaster if you can.

Vancouver has many stoners Marijuana laws are not enforced. Came across several people smoking weed on the street. Was also there during April 20th (4/20 aka 420 code for pot). Had at least 10,000 kids in front of the Art Museum all getting high on 4/20.
