Convenient to English Bay and Stanley Park with good restaurants. All within walking distance. Facility was a bit "over the hill".

Top Local Tips for Vancouver
Denman Street Diners Delight! Spend some time walking up and down Denman before going anywhere else for a meal. You will be pleased with the quaint and unique choices there.
Marble Slab Ice Cream a must! Marble slab is just up Denman from the Sands......it is a little pricey, but worth the visit if you enjoy great ice cream. Look for a coupon, which you may find in one of those free newspapers that you find on the street.
Kettle of Fish I have dined at the Kettle of Fish a few times now and have always found it to be very accomodating (once we were a group of 30 last minute!), the food is consistently great, they have an awesome affordable wine list and the atmosphere is wonderful.
