The hotel is on a very busy drive, so Friday and Saturday was torturous to get any sleep. The walls are thin and the balconies which look great during the day are places where the hotel guests (partiers) will hang out till 2 am talking, laughing and drinking. The blinds (wait there are none), don't keep out the sun, so when you do fall asleep the sun is there to wake you up at 5 am. The maids are slow and lazy, and the manager is very nice and accomodating, however I had to beg to get any money off the bill after hardly sleeping for 4 days and not having a clean room once. Great hotel for young partiers, not great for people who like sleep.

We were treated to a warm reception and catered for by friendly staff. Location was ideal opposite the lake and the room was clean, spacious and good value for money. We will be returning to Sylvan Lake this summer and will be returning to Raccoon Lodge.
