The weather could not have been better. The trails were packed with new snow that weekend and more was on the way. The Staff was wonderful and the food even better. Days were great participating in the activities provided by the resort and evenings relaxing in the pools. It was great that our dog was allowed to come and made the weekend that much better.

Top Local Tips for Kananaskis

Spa In my review I forgot to mention the spa. Oops! That is my treat to myself when we go there. However, you MUST book ahead of time if you want a decent booking or even a booking at all. It is extremely busy! Exceptionally good and exceptionally busy.

Traveling in the mountains 1/ Even in the summer it can get very chilly at night so bring extra clothes to keep warm. 2/ Be aware of your surroundings - watch for wildlife (mountain goats, bears, dear etc) and never approach the wildlife.

Remember where you parked!!! It's a big place with several lots... lost my car last time - d'oh
