Good value for money. Room comfortable and clean. We did not use restaurant so cannot comment. Computer in reception for use of guests was not working and little help from staff. Much better hotel than the sister establishment Lobstick Lodge where we stayed two years earlier. They had poor rooms, food which even baffled the staff as to what it was (turned out to be an overcooked, rock-hard courgette!) and Reception had a real attitude problem. We have yet to try the Amethyst.
