In spite of being in the middle of renovations the Hotel was clean and well run. We thought it presented good value for money, and is located in a good spot for the Shopaholic. Breakfast service a little slow but not a major problem, We would use it again.

Top Local Tips for Edmonton

Mr. I drove up to Edmonton from Calgary to enjoy some time with my 10 year old daughter at the mall. My first impression when I walked in the lobby of this hotel; I wanted to book somewhere else. It had an outdated and dumpy look and a bad smell lingering in the air. The room was about a 2 out of 5 for appearance and again there was that smell in the room as well, the toilet was plugged, and worst of all, you could hear noise easily through the walls and floor above, it was very anoying. The one and only reason I believe this hotel can survive in it's current state is because it is right accross the street from the West Edmonton mall. It is why I naively booked a room there, but will never do that again. At the very minimum, this hotel needs a thorough renovation but really in my opinion, the walls are too thin and the building is too old. It's a shame because the location is prime realestate being right accross from the mall, I think the building should be knocked over and a new hotel should be built. Frankly, I'm surprised that this hasn't happened seeing that it seems to be affiliated with the Fantacy Land Hotel in the mall. The only circumstance in which I would stay in this LOCATION again, is if they build a new hotel there that is at least up to the standars of other hotels in the area that I've stayed at in the past. For now I would rather drive a few blocks to the mall from other (much better at the same pricepoint) hotels that I've stayed at before.

A great evening out for the parents The Red Piano, on Bourbon Steet, was a fantastic evening out! It's crowded, but worth it!
