Dirty Dive!!!

The rooms are small and smelly. There is alot of drug activity and drinking going on up and down not only in the rooms, but in the hallways. People live there cheaply, not only temporary stays. The neighborhood is absolutly repulsive. It is right next to the greyhound station downtown Edmonton, which is also right where most people in Edmonton would not dare go unless you like drugs and scary situations. There are alot of drunk, high people around there. The homeless congugate there as well. The bar there is a cheap place to drink and I tell you that is a gross dive of a place as well. It is small, dirty and you can't possibly feel safe going out for a smoke. There are constant knife wars and people trying to sell drugs and stolen itmes to anyone who looks in the general direction. I suggest you try to go somewhere else as soon as possible. Sorry but it's true. If you value cleanliness and sanity this is not the place for you.

This hotel is in a very bad neighbourhood, and is most known for its bar that attracts the undesirables. And by undesirables I mean that my husband was knifed outside the hotel by a bar patron while we were walking by the bar entrance in broad daylight. We promptly gathered our belongings (we had only been touring the place quickly before we had made a decision to stay and thankfully my husband only damaged some clothes) and hit the local police station before deciding to stay at a much higher priced location downtown. I think we earned it.
