My husband and I stayed in Drumheller Inn for one night in July 2007. We woke early the next morning (luckily) to find the bed sheets, pillows and quilt cover covered in streaks of blood and about a dozen fat blood-filled bed bugs on the bed. A week later I had to seek medical advice because of an allergic reaction to the numerous bites on my arms and shoulders. The doctor said that he had never seen anything like it. The worst part was when we reported it when we checked out, the lady didn't seem surprised and we still had to pay full price! It spoilt our whole holiday. Don't stay at Drumheller Inn!

The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the location was great. On top of that the price was excellent compared to the chain hotels in the area. We had a great time in Drumheller and if we're in the area again we would stay at the Drumheller Inn again.

Good, clean room. Restaurant was good, we arrived later in the evening, they stayed open for us. There was a wedding happening, so service was a bit slower, but, understandable with the huge crowd of the wedding. Great food -good service - definately would return!

Top Local Tips for Drumheller

The Royal Tyrell Museum This is a definite MUST see for anyone travelling to Drumheller. I highly suggest going first thing in the morning when it opens, and if at all possible, on a weekday as opposed to a weekend. This way you may be fortunate enough to avoid the extreme line ups! Take your time with the displays, and make sure you see everything!

Start tourist attractions before 9 AM My family was up and out of our hotel by 8 so we wouldn't be fighting the crowds at the attractions. We visited the Large Dinosaur, walked the interpretive trail at the Tyrell Museum, and hiked the Hosrethief Canyon before most people arrived. It wasn't until around 10-11 AM that we saw other tourists. It was peaceful and we weren't fighting anyone for great views. Additionally, it wasn't nearly as hot in the morning. Also, we did the inside of the Tyrell Museum the night before between 5-9pm and found that most of the crowd was gone by then. By the time we ate dinner the restaurants were less busy and were able to eat quickly and hit the sack as soon as we got back to the hotel.
