Top Local Tips for Canmore

Good food at the Silvertip golf course! There is a restaurant at the Silvertip golf course, it is great! Attention to detail and impeccable service. If I visit Canmore again, I will repeat!. ---- I also had a bad experience at a sushi place in Canmore (just off the Main Street but forgot its name): the entirely opposite: bad food, terrible service and I wait for three hours before my dish was served! Avoid that sushi place.

Trains and Tourists Unless you sleep like a log, get accommodation as far as possible from the rail line as trains are all night and the conductors get off on waking as many people as possible.

Not many good places to eat in Canmore or none that staff could tell us about. Eat in Banff lots to choose from and residents of Banff aren't afraid to tell you their favorite places to eat. The Railway Station Diner and Deli in Canmore has excellent food and wonderful staff.
