Visiting Banff? Don't want to get up at 0' dark thirty to drive to the Calgary Airport? Tired of being accosted by angry bears at 300 AM on the way? Consider an overnight stay at the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel. Conveniently accessible to the terminal, the friendly staff will melt away the fatigue from your weary bones before you even make it to your room. The hotel's wonderful restaurant and lounge will complete your evening and in the morning, after your pleasant wake-up call reminder from a real person (with a smile) and, yes, Room Service starts early enough so you can fill up on goodies before you leave for the airport, you merely cross the road and you are ready to check in for your flight! No hassles, no bleary eyes, no gouges form that angry bear! Try it, you'll like it!!!

When travelling out of the Calgary airport, I usually stay the night before at the Delta Calgary Airport hotel. I find this very convenient and can manage to get a reasonable nights sleep due to the fact that I live 200+ kms outside of Calgary and would have to get up extremely early to make flights. Further, the worry of vehicle trouble is waved by coming in the night before a flight. In regards to the hotel and its facilities, I find that the check in always pleasant and efficient. The rooms, perhaps are a bit overpriced, comparatively speaking for what you actually get. All rooms should have high speed internet and this be included in the room price! I spend an average of CDN$250.00/night when staying at the hotel and when I compare this to other hotels that I have stayed in, I must say that your rooms fall short of the mark. A little more pampering would go a long way to keep your clientelle as there are other establishments just down the road at half the price! The lounge is good and the attached steak house restaurant is 2nd to none. Excellent food, service and drink (wine)!!! The restaurant just off the lobby, however, definitely needs a lift when it comes to the buffet breakfast. There have been no less than 4 times I have tried to eat breakfast there only to find old, mouldy fruit, stale buns, outdated yogurts...... To add insult to injury, the coffee always tastes sour! How can this all be possible. I would rather spend an extra $5 - $10 and get decent food for breakfast and start my day on a good note. My apologies for being so severe in regards to some of these matters, however, honesty may lead to a few needed improvements if you get similar feedback from other patrons.

My children and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel. My son, max particularly liked the breakfast buffet. The staff were all very courteous, helpful and efficient even at 7am. If I need a hotel in Calgary again I will choose this one.
