Before leaving, I filed a complaint with Best Western International. The hotel responded by saying that they had checked and found nothing wrong. They did not respond at all to my complaints about the disrespectful service. Rather, they complained that all the beds had been used when only two of us checked in (we had pulled out the sofa bed to watch a movie). The only bright point in the matter are the customer relations people at Best Western International. They were courteous and helpful. And, in the end, they were the ones who sent an apology and compensation when the hotel wouldn't.

The Best Western Suites Downtown Hotel was a horrible experience. The consierge was on the phone when I tried to check in and did not bother to get off. Rather, he took my credit card, checked me in, and tossed me my card keys while still on the phone. I guess I wasn't dressed like I was important enough. Upon arriving at our room, we found chip crumbs on the couch, a closet door off its hinges, stains in the bathroom, and that half the appliances in the kitchen don't work.

check all rates It was less expensive to rent a car at the downtown site then at the airport. The $40 taxi ride was well worth not paying a very high rate at the airport.
