The Royal Canadian Lodge was a good pick for our first time staying in Banff. It was conveniently located near downtown, and had an eloquent, classic Canadian feel. The rooms and lodge were tastefully decorated in Canadian maple wood furnishings. The restaurant was a delight, especially for breakfast. The heated underground parking was great in the winter time, and they even cleaned our windshield nightly. The lower level pool and whirlpool were great for apres ski relaxing. We would stay there again if we return to Banff.
