I had a chance to stay at the Towers Rotana Hotel for a good 5 days. The City was fully booked and I was fortunate enought to find accomodation at hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel and I believe that is a fair rating.
During my 5 day stay, I had a chance to experience one of the hotel's junior suits (executive suit) which is nothing more than a small living room and a bedroom. Each one of the rooms had its own bathroom for added privacy. The room fininshing was done in what is expected of a 4 star hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel claims to have one of the best fitness clubs in the city which I unfortunately didn't have a chance to see.
Overall, the hotel is a good value for medium budgets!

Top Local Tips for Dubai

Advise on taxis Everwhere you need to go in Dubai has to be done by taxi as the roads are that busy, the taxis are cheap, we did a journey which would have cost £20.00 in manchester, but in Dubai cost £5.00 inc tip. There are no shortage of taxis and the drivers speak quite good english.

Hotel Restaurants Use the restaurants in the hotel. Very good value for money, and excellent service. The Theme Nights are very good value including buffet and drinks for about £20 per head. A lot better service and quality than the Burj!

Trilogy roof Best view with the best music in town. Don't stay downstairs though!? You'll we feel like you are in any half decent club in the world (just much hotter?!)
