Abbra boats on the Dubai Creek By fasr the best way to cross the Creek are the Abbra boat terminals on either bank. Very cheap and an excellent way to see the fantastic buildings from a unique angle.

men on street asking you if you want to buy designer brands although it is safe enough, if you are on your own be wary of the people on the main street of souks etc who ask if you want desginer brands...they take you to small shops away from the main area and upstairs, and keep you in the room until you buy something...i tried to turn away at one point and realised i was being tracked by a 2nd person (who was wanting his commission) and encouraged to go into the room...it was safe, but didn't feel safe at all for a single female traveller - ruined my last day of travel.also don't expect beach areas to be attractive to get to - the whole place is under construction and not very pretty - go in 2010 when it is finished!
