A slum in disguise!

We booked a double room but was given a twin room with old-roach and rodent infested furniture and room.We complained abour the roaches and rodents,and we changed rooms but they weren't better.

Cheap for Dubai, but not great

the hotel was one of the cheapest i could find after my flight out of the city was cancelled, so that is appreciated. but, while the room was spacious and clean, the lights in the hallway either didn't work or weren't on, which made it uncomfortable to walk through as a woman alone. the hotel's nightclub (s?) also kept the floors vibrating until about 3 in the morning. the location is good, if you're not a huge beach fan like myself, because you can walk places, and the neighbourhood is lively. taxis, food and internet facilities were also easy to find late at night.

CRAZY DRIVERS THEY DRIVE LIKE MANIACS, CABS ARE HARD TO WAVE DOWN OR SOMETIMES FIND. HIRE A CHAUFFER FOR 25 EUROS AN HOUR , DONT ATTEMPT TO WALK ITS EXTREMELY HOT AND THERE ARE MANY ROAD WORKS

be very careful with hiring a car in Dubai! If you have a hire car in Dubai, you are a target. All the hire cars have a sticker on them showing which agency they come from. This sticker gives the car away as a rental vehicle. Cops and especially parking inspectors see this and can then decide to give you a hard time. I somehow managed to get a $200 parking fine which was charged to the rental agency (Dollar) who then charged it to my credit card. Neither the Dubai Municipality or the Dubai Police or Dollar Rent-a-Car could tell me what the fine was for. The best response I got after months of faxes and emails was a suggestion to get a lawyer!
