Top Local Tips for Dubai

Beware of Rental cars! An important tip from me regarding rental cars agents at Dubai airport! IF you have prebooked your car in advance ie online, DO NOT sign any "local agreement" with the onsight agent disclaiming your full cover for CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). They try to establish their own agreement with you, totally ignoring what you have printed off the internet when you booked the car! I realised they try to make you sign for such bogus agreements which make you take ALL responsibility in case of an accident. DO NOT ACCEPT this and be very firm with them. DO NOT sign such papers and stick to your original agreement with whom you booked the car with from the original place ie online/your country of origin. The car rental agents at Dubai airport will also try to charge you for so called Airport parking, another way of getting your money but ALL that is covered and included in your original agreement, so DO NOT PAY any additional charges. You have to be firm and even raise your voice on them!
