The hotel was excellent, although works were going on we had a fantastic time and would love to go back. I have recommended oasis beach tower to all friends and family, and will be revisiting soon I hope. The staff, the food and the amenities were excellent. I thank you for a great holiday.

I stayed in this great little hotel for 5 days last year and enjoyed the service and relaxed atmosphere so much that we are returning this year for 8 days !! Can't wait. We were met in reception with ice cool flannels and cold fruit juice cocktails, from that moment onwards everything was just perfect, from the excellent cuisine to the turned down corners of the bed sheets decorated with chocolates every evening.

This was our first time in Dubai and so pleased we chose the Oasis Beach Hotel. Great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well kept, in a good location and we loved the facilities, so much so we arrive on the 29th of July 2007 for our second stay.

Upgraded from the Oasis Beach hotel to the new Towers stunning apartment with great panoramic views of the arabian gulf.
Staff were pleasant at all times and the service was second to none. Dubia is a building site at the moment and will be even more stunning when finished, dont let this put you off as at no time did this work have an adverse affect on our stay.

This is a first class hotel in a first class resort. A great place to stay, clean environment, beautiful food and friendly and efficient staff. A credit to Dubai.

Construction goes on in Dubai year round, the accomodation takes away any details of such unfortunate circumstances. If you are going to Dubai, there will be construction - no matter what hotel, the Oasis Beach is very secluded and you can enjoy your time away from the construction works.

I have visited and stayed at the other hotels in Dubai and at the Oasis you can be assured of Burj service at a friendly and more relaxed cost.

Urine quality hotel

Putting aside the fact that our 'confirmed' (in writing) executive sea view room was not available upon arrival (breach of contract?), we were given a 'better and larger' land-facing room instead (at about 10% less rate). We were not, however, told that we would get very little sleep as a result of the all night construction within the immediate area. Nor were we warned in advance that the bathroom of this so-called superior room would (and did) stink of urine! This was a Microsoft business trip for which the hotel management refused to extend corporate rates due to the 'internet booking'. But they changed our booking without prior notice. Sound one-sided? This disgracefull little hotel (forget the fancy write ups about themselves) seem to feel that they can change confirmed bookings without regard for their customers. In fact, they don't care about their customers. No TV for two nights (and the Night Duty Manager would not believe this untill he actually tested it himself!). I wonder if the owners of Jebel Ali International hotels are pleased with their urine quality hotel and the manner in which their customer (a representative of Microsoft) has been treated. It must be very embarrassing for them!

Stayed here in January 2003,and found everything about the hotel great. To be fair, it was surrounded by sand then! There was, however a lot of building work going on, but it in no way spoilt our stay. The buildings that had been built, and those in the process of being built, were a sight to see in themselves - beautiful! The gardens were lovely, the private beach was beautiful, and the pools are large. The food was wonderful. The old town of Dubai has to be seen, as does the gold centre - even if you are only looking! By the way, the beds are huge!!at least 6'....to accommodate three wives perhaps??! Definitely a hotel to consider.

I travelled June 2004, during alot of building work, but assuming you pay extra for a Sea View room- entirely unaffected! Lobby area spacious and clean. The main restaurant good- but a la carte much better than buffet. Country restaurant superb- staff and food outstanding. Grounds not as fabulous as other hotels in the area. Rooms were huge- but very dark! General opinion- great value for money but certainly not the best hotel!

We stayed in Oasis Beach Hotel in feb 2005 for 4 nights. The food was excellent, the rooms were immaculate. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai. Would also advise a seaview room.

Vacation next to construction site

from Jza63
No matter how much you pay, very little or a lot, it is not acceptable to have a 4or5 star hotel facing construction site with 24 hour noise coming from there and tens of construction men looking in your window. It is now 25 floors ready from a building next to the BTA and it means that only premium apartments are a bit above it ( and they cost 120 euros more than superior). Noise is terrible up to the 49th floor, so there is no escape. All 2 bedroom apartments have only partial sea view, lower than 30th floor have tiny piece of the seaview and look directly to the construction. Beach at the hotel is great but overcrowded in the morning and daytime (no free sunbeds) and later in the evening no towels left. Room service food was bad. Rooms were spacious but had furniture very office looking. Flower had a sign "don't touch" (maybe it is in somebodys interest to go to Dubai to mess with room flowers...) On our last day evening a person from hotel came to check the room and do inventory. He counted every single teaspoon, knife and fork not to talk about glasses and cups. This made us feel very uncomfortable like they don't trust you even a bit. Anyway, they took a 1500 UAD deposit on arrival to cover all the possible losses and damage. Thought that would cover few teaspoons. Who needs their teaspoons? If they were some special teaspoons for the hotel, I would understand on some level, but they were totally normal 1 dollar teaspoons. Also totally not suitable for families with small children since there is nowhere you can go outside the hotel (everywhere is construction) and they even do not have special trails for baby trolleys to get to the beach. You need to ring a bell for help each time to get down the stairs! From the hotel, you can not get anywhere without taxi, because there is no pavements for walking. Nearest shop (any shop) is a taxi drive away. Service all around seemed like they tolerate you because you pay, but not more than that. If you don't give huge tips, no smile, no thank you. One exception though! Our cleaning guy was very friendly every day and was giving us nice hints, where to go etc. We were actually very surprised from all the positive reviews people give and those were very important for us when we were choosing our destination and hotel. So all together it was very dissapointing experience! Would never go back again!

Spot on

from RPat
I am sat in my luxury apartment on my penultimate night in the OBTA. All in all this has been a superb break. I arrived very early from the airport (8am) and although there was no room available immediately, within 30-45 minutes I had been allocated a 2 bedroom deluxe apartment on the 5th floor. The apartments are fantastic, you could easily live in them full time - hugely spacious, very clean, very modern with flat screen LCD's and brand new fitted kitchens, lovely beds, and great spacious bathrooms, plenty of wardrobes and hanging space, infact 10 out of 10 all around.

Unfortunately there is masses of building work going on everywhere in this area, and you do feel in the middle of a building site when driving up. My initial room was directly looking over a new tower block. I am a heavy sleeper, so it didn't worry me too much, however when my mate arrived to stay with me for a few nights, after his second night he couldn't bear the noise any more. Apparently the cement mixer went off every hour through the night - all night!! We complained the next morning and were upgraded to an apartment on the 43rd floor - WOW! The apartment is the same identically as the first one, but you can see out for miles, it is much brighter and there is no noise whatsoever. First class.

Not used the pool here, as I prefer the beach for the tan potential!! But the pool over at the Oasis Beach Hotel is excellent, and the gardens and private beach immaculately maintained.

Staff are friendly and helpful in both the hotel and the apartments.

Had room service a couple of nights - nice, reasonably priced food, but been out most nights. Not eaten in the Oasis Beach as I'm not a buffet person, and the Singaporean was full the night we tried so we went elsewhere. We did snack one night in "The Worst Hotel Bar in the World - Charlie Parrots" - my god that place is awful - no atmosphere, pitch black, the DJ turns the music down so he can talk to his mates on his phone - mind you when he's playing "Grease Lightning, Chain Reaction, and Come on Eileen" he can turn it off and pack it away for all I care!! Anyway, this alone is my one grumble - overpriced drinks in a terrible bar - mind you the drinks are on the high side everywhere you go due to it being hotel only drink laws.

All in all, excellent, on the pricey side, but great all the same.

Service with a smile

Just returned from a half term break at the Oasis.
We booked a two room premium apartment, but were upgraded to a 240m2 three room (unnecessarily, but better view).
The apartments as described previously are extremely well kitted out, including full laundry facilities and a very nice package of food and soft drinks to welcome you.
The facilities and restaurants are excellent and the staff throughout the complex live up to the hotel's aim to be the friendliest hotel in Dubai.
The Premium lounge on the 33rd floor was a lovely place to stop for a small snack, lunch, afternoon tea or even just a coffee. Everything done quickly and pleasantly, all on Villeroy and Boch!
We had a few minor problems with the apartment, which were sorted out almost as soon as I mentioned them (bulb gone, water not hot enough in one of the bathrooms, stereo playing up), but I can't fault the apartments for their quality and even interior design. The bedding was simple high quality Egyptian Cotton and oh so comfortable.
The construction was not an issue and in fact quite fascinating - very little noise pollution during our stay.
The location is about 10miles out of town, but there is lots to do before you get to town and the taxis are incredibly good value.
We had an excellent stay and if you're looking at this review I'd recommend you book the towers - there's too much choice in Dubai, but space and a smile make it a recommend for me.

Luxurious and we were spoiled

from foxyp
This was our second visit to the Oasis Beach in 10 months but this time we stayed at the Oasis Beach Tower. It was a special occasion - our 25th Wedding Anniversary, which we shared with friends and family. We booked a 3-bedroom Premium apartment but on arrival this was changed to 2 x 2-bedroom apartments. The apartment type meant we had the Marhaba meet & greet at Dubai airport - driven around and fast tracked through immigration and baggage (the same going home). This facility was absolutely brilliant and we will be talking about it for years to come.
The apartments themselves were stunning, spacious and luxurious with lots of goodies in the welcome food pack. After a week, we still had not used all the contents. The views from the apartment were breath-taking, especially as the balcony barrier only came to waist-height - seriously not recommended if you have children.
Also included with the accommodation came complimentary breakfasts, which we took over in the Oasis Beach Hotel restaurant; mid-day snacks; afternoon tea; evening nibbles all taken in the Premier Lounge. The only meals we purchased were in the evening and mainly used the hotel's restaurant. Singapura was lovely.
The staff greeted you with a warm smile whatever time of day or night and couldn't do enough for you. We made good use of the hotel's free shuttle to Dubai most days but on one occasion decided to take a taxi and ended stuck in traffic for over 3 hours, but it was at 5pm. It was a nightmare. Take a tip and use the free shuttle buses. They leave at various times including 3pm which misses out all the traffic and catches the shops opening for the evening.
We had the most fantastic time and hope to return to Dubai in a few years and will undoubtedly stay again at the Oasis Beach Tower. I can't recommend it strongly enough.

We have just returned from a week at the OasisBeachTower Apartments. The hotel is magnificent and the staff is incredible kind and helpful. The interior is so beautiful, lovely colours and extremely comfortable beds and bedclothes. Everything is so well thought. Pool, beach and lawn area are very well kept and there are plenty of sunchairs. You can even sit in the water on a special chair and let the waves wash over you. There are several very good restaurants, we think the best is the one at the beach.
We will be back!

Huge apartments

from nick_the_traveller
Had a four bedroom apartment for Grandma, us and two kids. It worked perfectly with so much space. Everyone loved the huge plasma screen. Can use the facilities at Oasis Beach Hotel across the way. The restaurants are OK but not that exciting. The best is probably Singapura which has well-prepared food from all over Asia but doesn't have any beers from that direction. The main restaurant relies on serve-yourself buffets at which the food is luke-warm and tastes as though it was cooked hours ago. Our top tip would be to walk along to the Ritz-Carlton where the restaurant quality is more akin to the quality of the apartments with staff both competent and friendly (fairly rare in Dubai!). There's a lack of shops nearby but the ordering service for groceries is efficient and not overpriced.

Wonderful apartments

from essexbear
Arrived on Xmas Eve to find we had been upgraded to a Superior apartment. We were on the Half board option at the Hotel. The apartments were fantastic. Everything you needed was there and the staff were courteous and very helpful. I would recommend the apartments to anyone as we had a great time. The Hotel was also excellent particularly the restaurants (Oregano & Singapoura), the staff were also very pleasant & helpful. All in all we had a great time at the Oasis Beach & we will be back.

Superb apartments

from VerdiP
We had 2 four bedroomed apartments with 3 couple in one and 4 in the other. We have all been away together on many occasions, but this is the first time in apartments. They are big enough for everyone still to have their own space and privacy. Including the maids room, there are 6 toilets in the apartment, so there's no queuing! The rooms are huge. The lounge has 4 coffee tables in the middle of it and there's still masses of space. The master bedroom was the only room with a television and a safe. Fine for a family, but would have been better if all rooms had them. The apartments are spotlessly clean and toiletries etc are replenished every day as required. The welcome pack in the kitchen isn't replenished, but it's fine to get you started. The tower is well soundproofed which was a good job as we're not the quietest of groups.
We were on half board, breakfast and lunch or dinner. There are very few restrictions, maybe 1 dish in each restaurant where the voucher only covers half. The food was superb in all of the places - The Bazaar for breakfast and theme nights, The Singapura for oriental and The Oregano for Mediterranean and the Oasis Beach Bar for snacks etc. The house wine is drinkable, but there's others to choose from.
The hotel is a little far out and everyone talks about Dubai being a building site, but believe me, this is in the thick of it. The main hotel and the 2 towers (only one is owned by the hotel) are the only things that seem to be complete in the area. However, having said that, it didn't disturb us too much as we were on the 31st floor and. It's fascinating watching them build, but they do work 24-7.

We've stayed at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel previously and this is comparible, but different. It's less formal and the staff seem very happy to work there. The beach is much nicer than the one at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel. This one is natural, however, the Palm does have an effect on the tides occasionally.

The main hotel is nice, but a little tired. I would always go for the towerI think as someone else said, once everywhere is complete, the prices will be much higher, so get out there now!

Stunning apartments and service

Beautiful set up at a great introductory price

from Holidaydelight
We booked directly and stayed in a 2 bed "superior" apartment on 46th floor. We were attracted by good reviews on this site and an excellent package deal of inclusive half board in the adjoining hotel, which is not currently offered. I was with my wife and two teenage daughters.

We visitied in August which is off peak and too hot for some, with daytime temp over 45 C. However, this means flight deals are available (we flew BA for well under £300 each) and other incentives are offered.

Quality of accommodation was excellent, extremely spacious and good fit out, smart bathrooms and kitchen, huge living room, LCD TV screens in living room and master bedroom, with DVD player in living room. It gets dark before 7pm in August, so we were glad we had taken a supply of DVD films and enjoyed spending time in our luxurious living room together.

The tower is effectively an extension of the ajoining 4* hotel which offers restaurants, a few shops, beach club, large swim-up pool, small gym and huge beach garden with private beach. Very pleasant facilities, wide mix of nationalities, fairly quiet and relaxed. The buffet restaurant has excellent them nights and we can also recommend the Oregano for mediterranean styles. Left it too late to get a reservation in the other Singaporean restaurant, but heard good things about it too,

I agree that a business traveller may see a few drawbacks - most notably very poor internet service (broadband is included free fo charge, but we were told that infrstructure in the area was overwhelmed with most guest bringing laptops). I had to walk to the Hilton (only 300M away) to check in online for our return flight.

The building work is all around as the Marina development goes up, but we specifically requested a high floor and had no disturbance whatever - I think we were above the noise. We paid a bit extra for the middle grade of room (standard/superior/de luxe) see Oasis Beach Tower's own web site for differences in spec, and check what grade you are getting if booking through an agent. Washing machine/tumble dryer was provided, also dish washer.

It took us a couple of days to find a routine - the pool behind the tower is excellent (also a child's pool) expecially in the early morning when the sun catches it nicely. The hotel pool is great all day, but we especially liked moving down to the beach at sunset. Camel rides offered on the beach were a big hit with my daughters. Also the hotel gym was pleasant, well air conditioned, a reasonable mix of equipment.

There's lots of information elsewhere about trips out, but we found the taxis cheap enough not to bother with the free shuttle buses after the first time. Our favourite outing was a water taxi up and down the creek.

Generally a wonderful holiday, staff were all friendly and professional, we all want to go back one day.

Top Local Tips for Dubai

Excellent public transport system From the taxi to the hotel to catching a boat across the harbour Dubai's public transport system is great. If you catch a boat from one side of the ferry to another - offer coins - do not get tricked into giving notes. The trip should only cost equivalent of 50 US cents. Taxi's are metered and very reasonable. However if you catch a cab from the city to the 7 star hotel expect to pay lots as you will get stuck in the most horrendous traffic - appears to have only one road in and one road out of the city and the 14 kilometre trip can take 45 minutes at least in peak hours. Hence you end up paying a good sum. Buses are cheap but not frequent.

Buses Catch a bus....the time table and map looks complicated, but they pretty much drive in a circle, so even if you miss your stop, or it's the wrong bus, you will always end up where you started anyway. It only costs a few Dirhum, and its loads of fun, especailly for us that are not used to buses. Or you can catch a BIG BUS. A double decker tour bus. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours and takes you around the most important sights in Dubai. NOTE: They include free vouchers for museums and for a boat ride along the creek - these don't have to be used in the same 24hours that your bus ticket is valid.
