Top Local Tips for Dubai

Taxi's If you need a taxi (& they are plentiful) don't ask the hotel concierge to call one - the taxi will then charge 4 X the normal price. Walk outside the hotel & flag one down yourself (they are plentiful) it will be considerably cheaper.

Food 24/7 It's difficult to find restaurants open mid afternoon. Cafe Du Roi on the Corniche Rd West, at the bottom of a large building is open 24/7 with a wide variety of food choices at reasonable prices. Great coffee and breakfast. They also have indoor/outdoor seating.

Desert Safari Do the Desert Safari and BBQ -Phoenix Tours has one, its an unforgetable experience
