ski slope You must experience this, it is the longest indoor ski slope with real snow and a chair lift. There are two runs, one blue, one red and it is excellent value for money including rental of all ski gear, suits, socks, helmets for kids, all you need is your own gloves and hats. There is a snow park for the kids with tyres for tobogganing too.

Don't drive straight past the hotel! The hotel is off the big roundabout just before you enter Hatta but poorly signposted. Drive around the roundabout till you see it. (Don't make our mistake and drive straight past and around and around in Hatta for half an hour trying to find the hotel!)

Hatta to Fujairah drive Make sure you do the drive from Hatta to Fujairah along the newly-opened mountain road. Fujairah is pretty boring once you get there but there is spectacular mountain scenery and a really interesting road with twists and turns and a huge tunnel. Great views of the ocean as you come over the crest of the mountains down to Khor Kalba.
