Top Local Tips for Dubai

4WD Desert Safari A must to go!! This is probably the only time that most of us can be in a desert. The camel ride was amazing. There was food and belly dancing. Awesome experience. But do bring along cash cos there are souvenirs to be bought.

try to book through internet hotels have very high prices ,these prices are provided by either local agencies or by the hotel it self. I booked standard room with 28 KD , the price of the same room provided by local agency is 47 KD.

Few days in Dubai A few days is actually enough as it's a strange place, more like a construction site in the middle of the desert. Jumeirah Beach was a very sterile, and OTT area and Burj Al Arab Hotel far less impressive (from the outside as we refused to be conned into the tour price to see inside) than on their website. Think the whole thing is hype and they have a cheek charging people to enter a hotel to look, there is a 6 star Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast and anyone can walk in anytime they like. Ski Dubai was worth a visit at Mall of the Emirates and not that expensive. Beware people can smoke everywhere and even in the shopping malls the smoke is thick! Gold Souk worth a visit but very overpowering at first visit, 275 shops all selling the cheapest gold in the world (minimum18ct) but check the daily rate so you know what you should be paying before you go.
