Damascus Airport On arrival at the baggage hall there are plenty of No Smoking Signs, no one takes any notice of these, this seems to be the Syrain way so don't be offended. On Departure, once through the gates, the bigger Duty Free shop will only take dollars so try to keep only a small amount of change for a coffee, toilet etc. Keep a close eye on the information screens, we did not hear our flight being called but had made our way there in plenty of time anyway (but were expecting to have to stand around but were chivvied straight through!).
