Avoid brining laptops, DVDs, hard disks, USB drives, etc. Upon entering Riyadh airport, you are very likely to be stopped and searched for the electronic media. They have strict laws about pornography in Saudi, and whether or not you have any is irrelevant - if you have devices capable or storing the offending materials, you'll be held at the airport until customs are satisfied that you are "clean". I arrived here to do computer training, bringing several USB flash disks with me... I spent 42 minutes sitting on an uncofortable chair waiting for customs to finish scanning those disks.
