Taxis from the Airport When you arrive at the airport or if you are wanting to travel anywhere in Saudi make sure that you ask for a Taxi and not a Limousine. The limousines look like a taxi but can cost up to three times as much.Simply say the concierge or to anyone at the airport (I want a taxi, not Limousine) Make sure they use the meter and if not agree on a price before you go.The trip to the airport as at June 2009 is around 60 - 80 Riyals in a Taxi.

Saudi customs officers searching computers, hard drives, flash drives, CD's, DVD Avoid carrying a PC unless it is strictly necessary, and also external hard drives, USB flash drives, CDs, DVDs, etc, as they are subject to search by customs offices upon entering the country at international airports. And if you must carry any of those, make absolutely sure that there's no illegal content whatsoever in those drives (i.e. pornography) (I would not even carry the "Sports Illustrated" swiming suit issue, just in case)
