Top Local Tips for Doha

Museums closed or not yet open I was a bit upset to find the Qatar Museum closed for refurbishing until ??? (guard only spoke Arabic) and the new Islamic Art Museum, by IM Pei, is still 'under wraps', although it was to be finished by 2007. Things don't always go to plan, but I was disappointed not to be able to see these two items as I was looking forward to it. Be sure to ring before you go to see what is open and opening times.
