Horse ride in Petra If you are going to take a horse ride in Petra, which is not cheap, save your money for the trip back from the main attraction in the canyon (the Treasury)--don't take the ride there! When you are walking back from the Treasury, or even further, from the tombs, you are better off riding the horse back the last 800 meters instead of starting off with the ride at the start of your tour--it is quite a walk, and if I had known how exhausted I would be when I was walking back to my tour bus, I definitely would have saved my dinars for a ride back!
