Top Local Tips for Amman
Winter visit. be prepared for really bad weather in winter. We were lucky but there was 50cm of snow and visits cancelled for people arriving just after us. Even when sunny the sites - Jerash and desert castles - required woolly hats, gloves and scarves. It rained a little too even in the desert. The upside was very few other tourists so personal attention and uncrowded sites.
The Citadel and Museum very interesting site with great views of the city
