I chose this hotel because I stayed there for 10 days last summer and I loved the location, the friendly staff and the cleanliness. Even though I arrived late - after 5pm, my room wasn't ready yet. I had to wait for half an hour in the lobby where this guy who was supposed to be some kind of staff, smoked all the time. The room was smaller than a bathroom and it was filthy! 2 out of 3 lightbulbs were blown. I was charged for an "upper class" room, which was advertised on the website as "spacios double room with minibar, cable tv, etc." and it definitely wasn't what I got. When I tried to leave the hotel, the manager yelled at me, calling me names and humiliated me in front of all the staff. He only agreed to give me my money back when I said I'll call the police.
Good location, old rooms

The room needs a new decoration. It's very clean, but not modern. The staff are wonderful, very homey.
Very friendly

The hotel staff are very friendly and have a lot of tips for traveling in Israel.
The rooms are very nice with lovely balcony
and the rate for the room is reasonable.

I've stayed here several times over the last 10 years and always enjoyed it. Laid back atmosphere, ok, the decor was slightly shabby but was always clean and i felt safe, relaxed and 'at home'. Great location too. Looking forward to my next stay in 2006!

The hotel is in a good location but the rooms are dirty, not rennovated like they post on their website (just the lobby is rennovated and quite nice), no elevator and the bathroom is actually inside the main room with no ceiling. Gross!

I booked a double room in person at the front desk for 2 nights through an older chap called Zak. He told me that breakfast was served in another hotel down the road but that I would be given a voucher which would allow myself and my partner to breakfast in the other hotel for free.
Zak told me he would sort out the voucher later on. When I returned to the desk that evening, there was a different guy on the desk. He said his name was David and that he was in fact the manager. When I asked him about the voucher he said that if we had paid for breakfast we would get it....but he had to speak to Zak first. We returned to the desk an hour later, according to David, Zak had never promised me a voucher and in fact I should have been grateful for getting the room at such a good price (550 shekels per night). His attitude was aggressive. I tried to explain that I had been promised breakfast in the price but he wasnt interested......he kept saying Zak would never agree to that. During all of this, another guest called my partner over and said that the same thing had happened to him. I would not like another traveller to go through what I went through. It wouldnt have been so bad if we had had a nice room, but it was a dump..no way of closing the window, bedroom floor flooded when you showered, balcony covered in cement dust... I'm not a fussy traveller but this is not a hotel that I could ever recommend.
