Great Beach Restaurant Near Old Jaffa We dined at a fabulous beachside restaurant called Manta Ray along the Promenade near Old Jaffa. reservations are essential, and you definitely want to eat on the beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean. Fabulous sunsets.

I got to the Marina, and said that I needed a hotel room for the next night (what's the point in paying for a night that has almost already passed - seeing as I might as well sit on the beach or in a bar until 11 am (check in) and just enjoy myself instead of paying for a night that I would hardly use).
The guy at the reception asks me "where are you from?" and I answer "Sweden". This triggers the below following conversation:
Reception: Sweden? I was born there! I'm from Malmö!
Me: Really? I'm from Gothenburg... so.. how long have you been here?
Reception: Ohh about 10, 15 years now.. my family is from here.. so I decided to move on after a while trying to make it in Sweden
Me: Cool...
Reception: I'll get you the staff price... 90 USD per night. The normal price is 140 USD right now, with the lowest being 110.. how about it? And you can have breakfast now if you want some.
Me: Deal!
The place was nice, clean, very nicely located... and good prices.. and they offered great service, and the breakfast was - kosher as it was - good.
