It is really terrible! The location is a trouble spot.
The website is cosmetic... a lot of photoshop and pictures taken looking away at the real thing.
The rooms smell!
Yes they painted the entrance... look beyond!

Top Local Tips for Tel Aviv
Taking taxis Insist on their using the meter (moneh) --it is the law and you will almost always end up better off. And don't tip! We don't tip cab drivers here in the Middle East, their tip is included in the fare price.
Tel Aviv is amazing. Go! The headline says it all. What an exciting city!
Hotels in Tel Aviv are all very expensive... price/service is usually a bad deal Find a good hotel in a Kibbutz... find a furnished apartment... or go to a really fine hotel and pay...

The sounds of the street are part of Tel Aviv and most all large bustling cities. It made me feel like I was traveling away from home. It is a block from the beach and a central location. You can walk to Jaffa along the promenade or walk toward the busy streets of Tel Aviv. I was able to use wireless internet connection in my room and there is also a computer available in the lobby.
I have stayed in every kind of hotel in my life from hostels to the finest. If you want a luxurious hotel with no cultural ambience, stay at a Sheraton. If you want to be greeted by a warm and hospitable staff every time you walk in the door, I highly recommend The Bell Hotel.
