Clean basic rooms (it's not the Ritz),good food. Friday night was nice to enjoy Shabbat dinner in kibbutz atmosphere, as it has been 30+ years since my time as a volunteer on another kibbutz. Good to jump in pool after a day of touring.

Have stayed at Nof Ginosar twice in the past and will stay 2 more times next year. The rooms are clean and adequate, the staff helpful and the food in the restaurant was good and plentiful. ONLY complaint would be the lack of help getting luggage to our rooms.

Top Local Tips for Kibbutz

Golan jeep tour Altough our trip was to see the sights in Isreal - a heavy cultural dose - one of the most fun things we did was take a jeep tour in the golan heights. Our guide was a naturalist and stpped along the hill -its a jeep ride after all- to show us the natural herbs and spices growing. We followed up with a mile ride though a stream - remember jeep- and made pita bread over a campfire. So over a three hour tour we laughed, cooked, laughed, went to the top of a mountain, laughed and ate mustard seeds. So some times culture takes a back seat. When you are planning your trip ask for the jeep tour guide -Yaron. Our guide planned it in advance- which may be good advice.
