Kibbutz Ein Gedi stands across the highway from Ein Gedi Spa on the Dead Sea. Unlike much of the desert around, it is a lush and green oasis that has attracted travelers for a very long time. Flowers line the pathways from the main building to the cabins; after the drive through the Judean Desert, it is a miracle. The kibbutz offers housing in cabins that are simple but clean. It is a pleasant place to spend a weekend away from the city and nearby the waters of Yam HaMelach, the Dead Sea. The kibbutz has several meeting rooms that make it an excellent place for a workshop or group weekend experience. The food was unremarkable but good and plentiful, typical kibbutz fare. Prices are reasonable, and along with a comfortable, clean, room, you are in the midst of an adventure!
