Use the Meter All taxi's will try and take you for as much a possible. They will not turn on their meters and just give you a rate that is usually double what the cost would be. After reading in a travel book it states that all taxi drivers must use their meters..we started asking when we got in the taxi and though they give a sigh and look at you funny..they will put on the meter without question.
