Great Hotel!!! If you have any extra local currency when you check out, you cannot pay for the room with both credit card and cash. It is one or the other. The currency exchange in the lobby does not carry USD or Euro, so don't try to exchange back to those currencies. They will give you Hryvnia for USD, however. Very friendly staff and they all speak very good english. 8th floor has a caberet and drinks aren't cheap. Do not take your spouse or female companion to this country unless she is okay with you staring at all the eye candy!!! The women are amazing!!! For dinner, eat at "The Cave". It's an underground restaurant covered in neanderthal decor, where the servers wear revealing flinstone outfits, you cook your own meat on a hot stone, and the bar is made of bones...what an experience!!!

Dont bother Kiev is not worth visiting As a woman dont bother it does not feel a safe city and the prostitutes are in your face from as soon as you walk through the arival doors of airport, sites? well churches yes but you buy one ticket for one part another for another part stamped by many people ...got to a point where we went ah here and left the top of eifel tower is easier to get to than the politics of getting totaly into some of kievs so called sites! Most street buildings are boaring drab ones from not so long ago. Cernobyl.....or as I knew it as Chernobyl...yes the nuclear site is 80miles north of kiev.
