Had a great time in Tenby, the hotel is clean and very friendly, the service was great, the owner and her staff were excellent. It's perfectly situated near the center of town, and makes a great base for walking / cycling.

Disappointing

Upon arrival at the hotel we were led to our (v small) room. We asked the young lady if we would be able to leave our bags for an hour or two the next morning as we were checking out and had a wait until our holiday cottage was ready. She said this would be no problem. The following morning we were awoken early by a man in the next room speaking on his mobile phone. The walls were paper thin and we could hear every detail of his call! The most disappointing thing however, was that the owner said we could not leave our bags anywhere (as we had been told) and insinuated that 'what did we expect when we had only stayed one night'. She thus proceeded to speak in a rude, abrupt manner and we left the building. I must say I have never come across this in all the hotels I have stayed in and I would never go back.

Unfriendly, dirty and not welcoming

On arrival nobody on reception or for the rest of weekend,the downstairs lounge was closed mid day and when we returned in evening booked 2 rooms with sea views and charged for only got one. The toilet had vomit stains down the outside of it (we have the photos)iron burn on bedroom carpet rooms very cramped our friends had to clean there toilet was also dirty. The only conversation all four of us had was do you want Tea/cofee mixed toast and a full breakfast. Left keys on reception they had charged our friends card for rooms prior to arrival. Nice views intimadating upstairs lounge our friends completed a registration card card but not us. If there was a fire nobody would know we were there. We stayed Close to Heathrow for £49 with easy accress to London and they had Gym Restaurant Bar 24hrs service the castle view was not worth £80 in Pembrokeshire. The Front rooms with a view have all the noise of the party goers and at 4 a.m the street cleaner comes along if you are looking for peaceful stay this is not it.

Plantaganet resturant Well worth a visit. Not cheap but gorgeous food in a great atmosphere and location. Huge portions.
