| Old Cross Hotel |

The hotel room and en suite bathroom were both clean and tidy to their credit. However, we were not happy about the vacuum cleaning outside of our room door at 6.30am to 7am in the morning, nor were we particularly impressed by the regimental breakfast hour of 8am to 9.30. In practical terms, this is too late for business travellers and too early for us. We started to wonder if we were in boot camp as opposed to a relaxing hotel.
Breakfast seems to be a selection of eggs, some bacon and precious little else. Some fresh fruit would have been welcome.
We would not stay there again because of the early and noisy cleaning regime. From our perspective a hotel should adjust its schedule to its customers, not the other way round. |
