Wonderful food, charming service

We have visited the George several times in the last few months and alwasys found the place to be wonderful. The service is excellent and the food delicious. Wonderful location and a pleasure to visit. We shall return as often as possible.

Highly recommended, room was spotless & charmingly full of character with every need catered for, including wireless internet, telephone, flatscreen tv & heated towel rail in the en-suite, the bed was extremely comfortable).The food was delicious & plentiful with a wide variaty of dishes to choose from mixing traditional with a la carte. The hotel dates back to the 15th century and it shows in its layout and character, it has a very warm and relaxing atmosphere, staff were hard working and polite. My husbund and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay, enjoying the beautiful scenery on our bike rides into Barmouth. I would highly recommend this hotel and will deffinitely be returning.

Hotel/bras/restaurants are dirty and overpriced. Food - paid in advance was a disgrace (dried up)

Was a lovely place some 3/4 years ago but new owners have not got a clue

Lovely location, abysmal hotel

Wales's answer to Fawlty Towers, filthy room, food cooked by a mechanic, staff couldn't care less and altogether not to be recommended. Shame as I gather it used to be lovely! Be warned, don't go by old recommendations.
