Top Local Tips for Crickhowell
scenery and walking holidays this area is the gateway for the Brecon Beacons, and excellent scenic route up to Devils Bridge, to watch the Red Kites being fed around 3p.m..There ios masses in the town for walkers,and a few lovely local walks are, around the Crickhowell Castle mound and tower, where there is also a childrens playground and grassy area. There is also wonderful bridge and river area walk.
The Bear The Bear hotel (up the road from the Dragon Inn) is superb - lovely old-fashioned but efficient bar, very polite staff, excellent home-cooked food but at reasonable prices, really good beer, log fire, etc. etc.. We loved it!
