The man who owns this hotel is very rude & quite nasty, he got angry because we were put in the wrong room by one of his staff and then tried to charge us extra for the pleasure. When we refused, he took our money, over £200, with not so much as a thankyou or goodbye. Needless to say we won,t be stopping there again, shame really as the breakfasts & other staff were great.

I did not stay at this hotel. I had a change of plans and called 24 hours before my arrival. I had given my credit card number to hold the room, with the understanding that it was 'in case I did not show up'. In my mind, 24-hour notice is a far cry from not showing up. But, Glyn-y-Coed still charged my card for the full cost of the room for the night. I think this is very obnoxious and well outside the usual policy for cancellation of hotel rooms.
