My partner and I booked a stay at this hotel for a short shopping trip. The hotels public areas are lovely, as were the reception and bar staff. However, we were very disappointed with our room. As we both work in the hotel industry, I checked out drawers etc in the room to see that everything was as it should be. I was unimpressed to discover a soiled towel in a drawer in our bathroom, we only had one milk portion in our tea tray to have with a cup of tea or coffee, our shower plug hole was blocked and the shower in general looked less than clean. To top it all, a member of housekeeping staff barged into our room at 9.00am without knocking, whilst I was in the shower and my partner undressed. We are not in the habit of complaining as we know what it is like working in the hotel industry.
