I had occasion to travel alone this time and was a little anxious.Absolutely no need as i was looked after so well.The staff are all fabulous,the location is superb and you just could not be more relaxed.Thank you all again.See you on 10th july.Isobel Thomson

Stayed her in Febuary for Rod Stewart weekend. The show was excellent. Food and the table service was outstanding we could not believe that the cost of everything was only £65. Only downfall for us was it is a non smoking hotel. We thought at least one sitting room could have been used as in Febuary the weather was bleak, but we are already looking forward to next year.

I have just been on a weekend break to the Glenburn hotel May 23rd -26th it was brilliant the staff were great the rooms clean and well mentained. Food was nice and plenty for us, the waiter's were very fast at bringing out food and very polite . The view from my room was beautifull looking out over the water. I would go there again. We had a great "Tribute to Kenny Rogers weekend" 2nd to 5th November.Entertainment every night which was very good.Rooms were spotless and quite large, the bathroom was also a good size. Clean towels every day. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good with a good choice and also a different special each day.Not large portions but just enough especially when you have 3 courses. Good value for money at £99 for a tribute weekend.

We had a great weekend- last weekend in September. The hotel is extremely impressive arriving on the ferry - it looks like a castle. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and they could not do enough to help. The food was nice,although not large portions but just enough - a good choice and piping hot. The rooms were spotless and my husband and I were in the largest double room we have ever stayed in -a double and single bed were in the room. The entertainment was good and the couple who played were very friendly and played to all of the crowd - old and young. We are going back in November it is great value for money £55 for a tribute weekend - can't wait. Keep up the good work Shearings.

Top Local Tips for Rothesay

up a hill the hill up to the hotel was a bit of a hike although it is a short diatance it is very steep. The local taxi service costs £2 to go to the town and the reception will book one for you which comes almost immedately. The views over the River Clyde make the hill climb worth it.
