Why such poor treatment?

I visited this hotel and thought it was a very comfortable place to be. On the second evening I wanted to use the pool to swim, but to my surprise the guy at the pool gave me so much hassle. First he would not believe I was a guest and asked for proof, which I went for reluctantly because I could see clearly that he was not going to let me in that pool - could it be that I am BLACK??!! When I returned with the proof he still would not let me in. By now I was convinced that my colour was the reason as the pool was empty, and it was not closing time yet, and he could offer no explanation but to just stare at me with a "where do you think you are going" look on his face. The only time he said anything sensible was when I exclaimed that my colour can not come off, to which he replied "I'm not a racist". Maybe he is just a "colourist"
