Fawlty Towers? No, it's the Flodigarry Hotel, Skye

I first stayed at the hotel in March 2004 which was a magnificent experience. My last experience in March of this year was most definitely my final visit with poor food, rude and limited service and a hotel manager baring more of a relation to Basil Fawlty than a top hotel manager who has ensured that we wont be heading back. My wife and I hosted our wedding reception at the hotel and booked out all the rooms for the invited guests for a period of two days (March 3rd, 4th 2006). What we experienced was cost cutting on the hotels part with a view to boosting their profit margin which as a consequence had a massive effect on the hospitality we received. This hotel is renowned as being one of the best in Skye, and I know that Skye is quite rightly so promoting itself as a superb holiday destination, but our experience left a bad taste in the mouth as we headed back to London.
