I have never been moved enough to write a review before, but I am desperate to prevent anyone else from ruining their weekend by staying at this shabby, damp-smelling, appalingly run establishment. We went to Oban for a wedding and several friends also stayed at the hotel. In our small, dingy room, the 'curtains' (I use the term lightly) didn't even reach the sides of the window so we were woken up as soon as the sun made an appearance. If they were going for a nautical theme with the plastic white square, strung up by roap, they failed. There was no shower head in the bathroom and our 'romantic bay view' would have been more accurately described as, 'a train station view'. A point I find particularly galling as I had particularly requested a nice room and was assured by the 'honest' staff that it was one of the best. Our friends suffered equally with masking tape on the windows (presumably to keep out a draught?') and a toilet that didn't flush. I could go on but I hope you're......
