Kay and Doug made a huge contribution to our holiday - we couldn't have asked for more. Lovely location, beautiful hotel, the service was the best. Can't wait for our next visit.

We just found the Invernairne as we were driving around the coast. It has a great place above the sea. Our room looked across to Black Isle and once we saw dolphin. Our room was good and comfortable and we stayed 3 nights. The house is old and has good atmosphere. There is beautiful bar and garden to beach which was sandy. We visitied places around Nairn - Loch Ness, Culloden, distilleries of Spey Valley. In the summer we will visit casles of Cawdor and Brodie. We also saw Fort George. It is great place to stay. From here we drove back to Inverness Airport - only about 15 kms away. Recommended.

This was our first vacation in Scotland (we're from New York) and we found the Invernairne to be a highlight of our trip. Kay and Doug made us so very welcome and were very helpful in every way. Nairn is a great location to explore the Highlands and centrally located for the distilleries; Loch Ness, castles and the lovely countryside. The Invernairne has a great location with most wonderful seaviews and path down to the sandy beach. Our room was most comfortable and an excellent breakfast served with views of the sea (we even saw dolphins!) - all in all we really recommend it. Finally - only a short walk to Nairn Golf Club!

Nice room pity about the service

Asked for seaview double room 7 months in advance as going on honeymoon, got the seaview but a twin room ( beds pushed together!) Room lovely pity it hadn't been dusted very well.

Breakfast was self service and luke warm, even the toast that was brought through by the owner was cold. The bar that was meant to be open from 11am to 9pm was deserted with signs stating please ring bell on reception desk for service! I rang the bell at 18.45 waited 10 minutes no-one turned up so went to off license instead! If you like the completly inpersonal touch it's the place for you.

Great food We enjoyed the meals at the Golf View (overlooking the sea) and especially the meals at the Classroom in the town

The Waterfront, Inverness Go and eat here. It is beside the river and the food is excellent. Price's are very reasonable for being in the city. Would maybe recommend booking to avoid disappointment
