The room we got was newly decorated but with a couple of problems - the sheets had stains on them and were not changed during our weekend stay and we were directly under a fire exit staircase with a GREAT view of the car park.
The parking was terrible, everyone and their dog stole a space. People were taking up 2 spaces and when we complained we were told to park infront of the fire exit.
When we went for our evening meal on the 2nd night we were expecting a little inconvenience because there was a wedding on. But I wasn't prepared for a waitor stealing my husband's seat to accommodate someone else while he was at the loo.
Some staff were just out of nappies and didn't have a clue. The guests staying for DBB got a separate menu (with 2 fish dishes and a meat option, no vegetarian option) from the Indian buffet which was being offered to people coming in off the street for a meal.
On the final night of our stay we went to a lovely local pub, when we returned around 2:30am we were locked out. We rang the hotel pressed 2 differant bells we even tried to break in! After 30 minutes a guest eventually let us in. We wouldn't have stayed out so late if they weren't advertising that they had a 24 hour reception and night porter.
All in all there was a lovely European waitress who seemed to work 24/7 during our stay, she was very professional and did everything she could to make our stay a bit more pleasant.
We would return to this hotel if they have addressed our complaints, trained staff, be more equipped to deal with alot of guests and sorted their 2 different meals.
