I was best man at my friends wedding and the staff and owner of Auchen Castle ruined it, they were hopeless at just about everything. Dirty uncleaned rooms, overpriced drinks and food, poor service, filthy toilets and incorrect charges to four guests credit cards, three of which have never been resolved. Forget having any function at this place, it is the pits.

Moffat is great, the Castle is a joke Go to moffat, by all means, but DO NOT go to auchen castle. It is a rip-off. They are robbing swines and it isn't even worth the petrol to get up there.
