Just don't even bother....

Arrived on a blustery evening and walked into a souless bar - the foreign barmaid couldn't have been more helpful which is more than can be said of the 'mullet haired' manageress who we overheard commenting with a male customer about the bar maids lack of 'English skills'. We ordered a plate of chips to go with our pints as we were camping and just wanted something to eat before we cooked ourselves. This caused huge hilarity out back in the hotel kitchen - so much so that the 'cook' came out behind the bar to stare at the customers who had dared to order a 'plate of chips - to SHARE!!' needless to say comeplety put us of Scourie altogether - we had been to this hotel several times in the past - each time I guess hoping it would get better - it hasn't and unless you enjoy paying for a total non experience (although the mullet watching was worth every penny) then don't even bother.....(campsite is great though :-))
