Whole experience very disappointing

Stayed at St Judes on a Saturday night, booked on spur of moment as had just got engaged and wanted to stay the night somewhere nice in the city centre. Had eaten in restaurant some time before and food, service etc had been great. What a disaster!! Restaurant is closed for 'refurbishment' but found out later had not been open for most of the year yet hotel was still charging £95 room rate. Room itself was tatty with peeling paint on the ceiling and generally just a run down air about it. Asked at reception for DVD on list in room was told 'they had all been stolen'. Television wasn't working properly problem with aerial and remote!! You get the picture !! Final insult was cereal and toast for breakfast and nothing else !! Not what we expected. To be fair to girl working on reception in the morning she listened to my complaints and only charged us £50. Will never ever be back though, St Judes no longer a cool boutique hotel more like Fawlty Towers !!

Ditch Pizza Hut I always see people queuing at Pizza Hut and its like on Sauchiehall Street - Bath Street is just behind it and has any number of small, basic Italians doing good food. Eat there. Only go to the Rogano Sun - Wed. The other days it's tacky.
